About
Typically, this is the place the typical trainer will list his or her credentials hoping that the list of letters behind the name will impress you and lead you to believe he or she is well qualified.
In case that is what you are looking for here’s mine:
Aron M Rightious – NASM-CPT, YFS
Does that mean anything to you? Probably not much.
NASM-CPT means that I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. You can verify my credentials HERE. NASM is fast one of the pre-eminent certification agencies for personal trainers.
YFS means that I have obtained a credential called Youth Fitness Specialist. This credential is obtained through the International Youth Conditioning Association. You can verify that HERE. The IYCA is the leader in youth fitness, probably in the world.
Now that we have the formalities out of the way and you can have some level of confidence that I am qualified to help you, let me tell you what I think will really matter.
I became a personal trainer because I was interested in going to medical school, but not interested in going hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt. I considered numerous modalities of alternative and preventative medicine(massage, acupuncture, naturopathy, etc.) but I knew none of them was right for me.
When I became a personal trainer I knew that I was joining the ranks of allied health care professionals that can truly transform peoples lives.
I watched my step-dad lose his life to what ultimately amounted to poor nutritional choices and lifestyle choices. He suffered from diabetes, had congestive heart failure, wore an insulin pump, and struggled with his weight as long as I knew him. He was gone too soon.
My daughter Aiyana has had epilepsy since she was 3 1/2 hears old. She’s 12 now. Aiyana has endured 2 brain surgeries, had a Vagus Nerve Stimulator implanted in her chest, MRIs, EKGs and has taken nearly 20 different medications in various combinations.
I have known way down in that place that we really know something (I guess my soul), that there had to be a better way. I’m not saying that exercise and proper nutrition can cure epilepsy, but I do believe exercise and proper nutrition can cure dis-ease.
I also know that being fit and being pleased with the reflection in the mirror makes people happy.
My every day is practically consumed with becoming a better personal trainer and serving you beyond your expectations. Of course I strive to be a better husband and father too!
I promise you the truth. I promise you programs, strategies and techniques that work.
